Nicht von ungefähr titelt demnach das auf dem Frankfurter Kultlabel „Hazelwood Vinyl Plastics“ erschienene Langspieldebüt des infernalen Trios “Devil on 45”! Der Teufel dreht sich im Highspeed zum Sound der C-Types.

Doch damit nicht genug: Die jüngste Publikation der drei Verrückten, „Something awkward“, wurde fein auf Band aufgenommen in den legendären “Toe Rag Studios” in London bei Mr. Liam Watson himself (White Stripes, The Kills, Jon Spencer). Und dann auf Vinyl rausgehauen. Der zugehörige Slogan spricht Bände: „It’s newer than New, It’s youer than You. It’s nower than Now and it’s wower than WOW!“
 
„Something awkward“ ist ein fuzzgetränkter Kracher („…I saw your sister all naked & raw…“) „Do the bird“ ein rumpelnder, schwingender Bastard von Lied, der…ja um was geht’s eigentlich…den Vogel tun, die Spinne…den Spiderman, den Tiger….den Tigerman…HÄH???
 
Das denkt man übrigens auch, wenn man das Oeuvre dann live und in Farbe serviert bekommt, vom bunt anmutenden Trio, irgendwo zwischen GaGa & DaDa, Avantgarde, New Wave, DEVO & B-52’s, Cramps und ja Kraut ohne Rock, minimalistisch zusammengeschustert mit zwei (!) stoischen Trommeln, scheppernder Kaufhausgitarre und röchelnder Orgel, am Mikrofon etwas zwischen Sprache & Gesang, die zweite Stimme könnte Klaus Nomi gehört haben… Bewusstseinserweiternd..manipuliert — W I R R N E S S ! ! ?
